Kelsy
I have had Kelsy since she was 9 weeks old, and I always wanted to do some sort of work using her magnificent nose, with me as her handler. In 2008, when I learned that Missing Pet Partnership was training people and dogs to find missing pets, I knew immediately this was the work for us. At 11 years old, I first became aware that Kelsy had an aggressive and fast-moving cancer. We tried several avenues of medical treatment, but Kelsy lost her battle with cancer on September 8th, 2016. She will always be with me, and she is part of everything I do. You can read about Kelsy in fiction and nonfiction in these books:
The Retrievers of Useless Bay
A Voice for the Lost
